First Assist in the specialties of General, Ortho, Urology, OB/GYN, Podiatry, ENT and Facial Plastics
• Ability to take call 2-3 nights per week and every 3rd weekend.
• Will allow flexibility in schedule by 4 days in a row, leaving a 3 day weekend either Saturday Sunday Monday, or Friday Saturday Sunday (on a rotating basis).
• Self-starters preferred and people with awesome work ethic encouraged (help clean, turnover, scrub when not first assisting).
MUST take call 2-3 times per week and every 3rd-4th weekend. Can work either 4-10’s or 5-8’s.
20 minute call response time.

In this position the Surgical First Assistant will ensure proper preparation of patients for Surgical procedures. The Surgical First Assistant will monitor patient status and vitals, assist with positioning, prepping and charting of patient procedures. In this position you will also assist with administration of pre and post procedural medications as ordered. Assist surgeon as directed and complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Graduate of Surgical Assistant program or comparable program. Certified Surgical Technologist and required to become Certified Surgical Assistant within 2 years.

Surgical Assistant Certification is preferred

Prior experience as Surgical Tech and Surgical Assistant
